Johnny Guazz + nic violets - tears and fears (EP)

Written by Jarvis

A culmination of greasy, reverberated vocals, gritty production cues from surf, indie-hyperpop, and 80's synth rock, with conceptual overlays of heartbreak, contrite recklessness, and internal struggles; This is the essence of tears and fears, a five-song collaborative EP created by two friends fighting their own individual battles.

The project opens with The One That Kills You — a sparkling, angelic offering with soft, but powerful vocals. This record sets the expectation of a comfier body of work, until it seamlessly fades into Barely Breathing. This is where the experimentation and grit come into play.

While this project mainly aims to showcase the dynamic vocal blend of the two artists alone, track three recieves high-energy support from the immensely talented JELEEL!

Inspired by surf rock and nodding at punk vocals, fake my death is probably the most abrasive song on the EP. With an atmospheric outro that leads into Hazel, the leading single, this EP demonstrates a high level of cohesively.
