Lano - Realer

Up and coming artist Lano recently released his newest track, entitled “Realer.” Driven by a simple beat, Lano reflects on his past struggles and boasts about his newfound bankroll.

What immediately struck me about this video is how well the editing itself fits in. The simple cuts intermixed with sharp, distorted visuals fuel not only the track’s beat, but the ambience presented by Lano’s vocals. Despite the video being a relatively uncomplicated shoot in terms of the shots presented, the color grading in each scene is a subtle, yet extremely effective aspect of the video that elevates it to a much higher level of quality compared to other up and coming artists.

One last understated, yet signature aspect of this video, is Tanj’s signature orange backdrop, which has quickly become a calling card for his ever evolving talent. Overall, I am a big fan of this collaboration between Tanj and Lano, and would love to see more work between the two in the future.
